Solar Activity
.24 hr Summary… Solar activity was very low and the visible disk remained spotless. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
.Forecast… Very low solar activity is expected to continue 16-18 Sep.
Energetic Particle
.24 hr Summary… The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was normal to moderate and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux continued at background values.
.Forecast… The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to continue at normal to moderate levels 16-18 Sep and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background.
Solar Wind
.24 hr Summary… Solar wind parameters were indicative of a return to an ambient, background state. Total IMF strength decreased to less than 5 nT and the Bz component underwent primarily weak deviations. Solar wind speed decreased from around 375 km/s to speeds near 325 km/s. The phi angle was predominantly positive.
.Forecast… A slow solar wind regime is anticipated to continue 16-18 Sep.
Geospace
.24 hr Summary… The geomagnetic field was quiet.
.Forecast… A quiet geomagnetic state is expected to continue 16-18 Sep.
